I am extremely honored to be hosting the next spot on this amazing author’s blog tour. K. I . Lynn’s debut novel hit the masses on April 23rd with a wonderful reception. The buzz behind this tantalizing book has been growing for months and today we get to learn a little more about the woman behind creating one of the hottest male characters’ to date.

Summary:  Delilah Palmer has control of her life and outward personality, blocking the truth just below the surface. A façade meant to be normal and hide the scars of her childhood. She’s made a good life for herself, became a lawyer, and is free from the tortured past that haunts her daily. Until he comes along and breaks open the cracks.

Nathan Thorne has a past of his own. On the surface he is loved by all, personable, extroverted; everything Delilah isn’t. Hidden beneath is a dark and tormented man that only Delilah has to power to unveil.

Crammed in a small office together they see through each other’s masks, and the draw
becomes too much, igniting an explosive relationship. Holloway and Holloway Law has a strict non-fraternization policy, forcing them to conceal their breach. Despite their efforts, separation becomes impossible, deceptions escalate, and Nathan has trouble coping; teetering on the edge of being overtaken by his past demons.

What secrets does he harbor that could keep him from giving in? What keeps him from healing and moving forward? And Delilah, where does she fit into all this turmoil?

Can they accept love and deal with all the trials that come their way when secrets are exposed? Or will they fall through the cracks of their pasts and be consumed by all that haunts them?

 Interview With K. I. Lynn:

1: I would like to start off this interview with a random question...humor me. What kind of food do you find sexy and why?

Popsicles. They are not only visually stimulating, but there are many fun things you can do with them. ;)

2: Tell me three things about yourself- the woman- that no one knows about?

If I told you what no one knows they wouldn’t be secrets! So, I’ll tell you things few know.
One, I was a big X-Men comic book fan…until they killed off my favorite character, Psylocke. She’s returned here and there, but she was gone for more than a few years and I lost interest. I also had moved onto mangas by then.
Two…I believe that the ghost of my grandfather, who passed when I was two months old, watches over me. I’ve only ever told my sister-in-law that, because I know she feels the same way I do about spirits.
Three…my husband and I have our own meow’ing language. It started from a little video called “Wake Up” and it never ended.

3: What inspired this beautiful tale called Breach? How did the idea of this book develop and what became your muse as you wrote.

It originally started out with me wanting to write a smut piece to push myself, and have a teeny tiny bit of angst. Nathan had sadness in his past, and Lila was fine…then things exploded. Nathan’s torment deepened and overtook everything. He showed me that Lila was not okay. He could see her struggle and showed me. They are the same and very different. Lila shielded herself from even me, always keeping her emotions and reactions in check, while Nathan was a raging beast I often had to cage in the recesses of my mind. When he gets angry things get destroyed and every other word is the f-bomb.
My muse was music, and still is. Music can make entire scenes unfold. The playlist for the first two books is huge.

4: Which character, in this love story, do you most connect with and why?

I connect most with Lila because I can feel her fear like it’s my own. Aspects of her past and personality I can relate to. At the same time, she has traits I wish I had.

5: As you wrote, at what moment did you stand back and say wow ... never saw that coming?

There always seem to be moments like that, where the characters take the story off in a direction you weren’t expecting. It was near the beginning when I first started writing, maybe around chapter five, when things started weaving together. You won’t see it until book two, but when that twist hit me I was shocked.

6: Your male lead, I must say is probably every woman's fantasy come to life. Is he what you desire in a man?

Sexually he is my fantasy. His anger I don’t know if I could handle though. He has a very strong and imposing personality that would squash me. I don’t have the strength to handle him, but I’d sure let him have his way with me. ;)

7: Which authors or books have touched your life and why?

The biggest most life altering book for me was Twilight. I fell in love with the love between Edward and Bella. The yearning for more led me to fanfiction where I decided to give writing a try. Suddenly, all of the characters that had always been in my head began to claw their way out and I grew with every story that I wrote. With many of them I pushed my own boundaries, growing as a writer. I found my passion, something I’d always been jealous of in others.

8: Lastly, what would you like your legacy to be? What is the one thing you would like your readers to say about K. I. Lynn as a person?

That I am a down-to-earth, kick-ass, diverse writer.

Author Bio: K.I. Lynn spent her life in the arts, everything from music to painting and ceramics, then to writing. Characters have always run around in her head, acting out their stories, but it wasn’t until later in life she would put them to pen. It would turn out to be the one thing she was really passionate about.

Since she began posting stories online, she’s garnered acclaim for her diverse stories and hard hitting writing style. Two stories and characters are never the same, her brain moving through different ideas faster than she can write them down as it also plots its quest for world domination…or cheese. Whichever is easier to obtain… Usually it’s cheese.
